Bunnies being your soulmates are serving as sort of reflection of yours in MetaForest, so all your actions in the real world will be reflected in bunnies development. So don't be lazy, improve yourself and you will improve your bunnies.

Mind that bunnies only exist in their own reality, so in order to get along with our world, Soulmates had to anchor on NFTs that we can take actions with, so each NFT Avatar from MetaForest is pretty much a home to a Soulmate.
